”Self Portrait, 2006” acrylic, ink and watercolor on paperThe next artist I am going to introduce is a Kyrgyz artist Dasha Shkurpela who is specialized on mixed media sculptures and paintings. What made me get interested in his artworks is that one of this self-portrait has a similar meaning as my artwork. As you can see his painting he included his mirror-image and himself as well (his hand actually), which might mean that he has two personalities as well. He did not include a description of his artwork, but although it might have different meaning, I can get some idea from his work, such as making my mirror-image’s face dark and unrecognizable to make my idea clearer.
